Where do you keep the ketchup?

So do you keep your ketchup in the pantry or the refrigerator? If you’re like me and you’re reading this from Portland, Oregon you might be confused about this question. Who keeps their ketchup in the pantry? But actually, people all over the world and even in the southern United States keep their ketchup in the pantry. Today’s ketchup is so full of sugar and salt that it has enough preservatives to keep anywhere so the question really comes down to preference.

The real question is what do you do when you’re out of ketchup. You’ll turn to the fridge for an alternative if that’s where you keep it. Mustard? Ranch dressing? If you keep it in the pantry you might turn to vinegar or Worcestershire sauce.
